Your 90-day credit improvement plan

Add 50-150 points in 3 months

The playbook for adding significant points in 90 days. Don't skip steps. Don't reorder. The sequence matters.

Expected results: 30 to 60 points if already 700+, 50 to 100 if in the 600s, 80 to 150 if below 600 with clear errors.

Not magic. Just the system.

Steps

1. Week 1: Pull all three reports. Baseline. Save a PDF of each to measure progress.

2. Week 1: Check your FICO. Use Discover Credit Scorecard (free, no account needed) or a card that shows FICO. Record your starting score.

3. Week 2: Pay down balances below 10%. Throw cash at the highest balances to get each card under 10% utilization. This alone can add 30 to 60 points.

4. Week 3: Dispute all errors. One dispute letter per error. Certified mail.

5. Week 4: Ask for credit limit increases. Call each card issuer for a CLI. Most do a soft pull. Higher limits = lower utilization.

6. Month 2: Set up autopay. Every card on auto-minimum. Calendar reminders for manual full payments two days before due dates.

7. Month 2: Open a credit-builder account if needed. Thin mix or need more accounts? Open one starter. Not more.

8. Month 3: Recheck reports. Confirm disputes. Verify new limits. Check score. Most improvement lands here.
